How to use MySQL Workbench to access remote MySQL databases hosted in a web site

We have 'MySQL Workbench' v6.2 and want to access MySQL databases hosted in other remote web locations.  How can we do this?

Just create a new MySQL connection to your site:

https://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/wb-mysql-connections-new.html

Instead of 127.0.0.1 you should put the IP of your server.

It it doesn't work you may have to contact your hosting provider to enable mysql remote connections.

Hope it helps. Regards.

Yes, that is what we have.  But just finish finding out that the site where the database is located, has a SSL certificate.   Any additional info besides your comment in order to make it work?
