Hello Experts !

For backup purposes we have setup windows backup but the problem is that now there is no more space in the disk.

I am trying to find a solution to change the retention policy on a Windows 2012 R2 server but I couldn't find anything regadring this setting !

It would be also great if I could delete older backups just to free some space on the drive.

Is there any solution?

Thank you in advance :)

windws server backup did not support retention policy

Try below
wbadmin get versions -backupTarget:h:
OR
wbadmin get versions -backupTarget:\\servername\share
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc742116(v=ws.11).aspx - get backup versions

Then try to delete backups
Wbadmin delete backup -deleteOldest -BackupTarget:F
OR
wbadmin delete systemstatebackup -deleteOldest - applicable only if system state backup is happening

OR
use diskshadow utility to delete older shadow copies
