Is there a way to create a Salesforce app that allows data entry outside of a login?

Hi all,

We just got Salesforce here, and our account reps are interested in a page that would exist outside the login but allow people to enter their data into Contacts (like name, phone, email, and company or something like that).

The idea is that they want to post a QR code at their table at a conference or whatever and allow people to just use it to navigate to this page to request more information from us on products. The issue isn't the QR code, obviously, it's the outside-the-login page. I'm not seeing anything that would indicate a way to do that within Salesforce, and that we'd have to develop a web page that would feed that info TO Salesforce.

Please advise!

Are you currently using an email service provider (generally used to send sales and marketing messages to customers or prospects), such as one that is already paired with Salesforce such as ExactTarget or Pardot? If you do, it's pretty easy to setup a landing page with those specifications and have the keyed in data match up to prospect lead fields in Salesforce.

However. if you do not, you'll have to use a workaround, like say a custom web page hosted on your domain that behaves like a web contact form and then patch it to Salesforce using an API.

Otherwise, any web contact form, even one hosted using Google Sheets, you'd need to manually collect that data and import it into Salesforce using the import wizard tool.

The latter is kind of what I was thinking of, but we are indeed using ExactTarget here so that may be an option.  Thank you so much!
