Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) - ASP.NET WEBSITE AND MYSQL DATABASE HOSTED IN GODADDY PLESK

Hi,

Please...I need help, regarding to my website built from ASP.Net. It was running fine when I made it, but when I upload it together with my database to my web hosting site GODADDY plesk. I got an error of:

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I checked my server, port, database name, username and password...and I'm sure that it is correct.
I've been searching for the answers but all I've got is answers for website and database that are running through localhost.

But, something caught my attention regarding web.config <connectionStrings>
I really don't have an idea about this, because every time I declare my connection I declared it through module.

I attached the error that I've been experiencing:

I appreciate any help/response.
Thank you.

It would be unusual for you to be using 'root' to access your MySQL database.  Normally when you set it up, you have to choose a username and password (other than 'root') and you should be using that to connect to your database.

I already changed my username and password, but the problem is still the same. :(

If you are getting a message that 'root' is not allowed access, then you are not using your correct username and password to open a connection.

Is there a way where I can see the correct username and password for my database? Since it is uploaded to godaddy, I don't have the rights for accessing the config.inc.php

It's not in 'config.inc.php', that is only for phpMyAdmin.  phpMyAdmin uses the privileges that are set up in the MySQL database.  In your Plesk control panel is a place to set up or change your MySQL database username and password.
