IDFix X500 addresses

we are fixing contacts legacy dn that have semicolons would this cause an issue with bounce back since Exchange auto-complete cache uses X.500 addresses for e-mail sent to addresses within the Exchange organization I assume a lot of bounce backs will occur unless I am missing something else.

Yes, it could cause bounce back. If your system is migrated from legacy to latest version, it might still carry legacy settings. I don't see any reason to remove it. Leave it as it is. Until you are facing some other issue.

IDFIX wants me to change it because of the invalid character in order to avoid issues during office 365 migration

Do you need additional help? For your query, if you have any custom address, then you might see issue, rest will work fine.
