Could you explain if Fuel is just a Codeigniter continuation?

And possibly give any other information concerning to Fuel.

Hello,

From what I understand, FUEL is a Content Management System that is powered by CodeIgniter.  It's not a successor rather just something that is built on that framework to make things easier for web developers.

The FUEL CMS site is here - http://www.getfuelcms.com/

If you are referring to FuelPHP, then that is a competing product to CodeIgniter.  From what I read, it was created by former CodeIgniter developers and is also its own framework.  CodeIgniter is still very much alive.
