SQL Server 2014 network-related error

Don't know what happened with my computer.  I had issues with Visual Studio and SQL Server.  I reinstalled VIsual Studio and that resolved that issue.  I repaired SQL Server but i'm still having and issue with SQL server.

I assume they are both on the same machine (Using Shared Memory)? Is SQL running (check under services) when you are getting this error?

When I click on "Connect to Database" and it tries to authenticate.

Sorry, I just saw your list of services. Assume they are running.
The connection you are attempting is via Shared Memory. Have you tried another method like TCP/IP and the localhost (127.0.0.1,1433).

It was stopped.  Needed to go to Configuration to check to see if it was running.  It wasn't.  Started it.  Have no idea how it stopped.
