Need help on taking backup in postgress SQL -- Challenging question

Hi ,

Iam new to PostGress SQL , I need to write a batch script in windows to take backup . The script should accept the date as an input and take the backup for that day.

Iam sorry , Iam asking for the code , any help is really appreciated.

Why bother with scripting when there are free tools that can do the job effortlessly.
However if you insist then the Postgre Wiki has guides for Linux and Windows

Thanks .  I need to write an script which takes backup for a given day . Is there any script which can help me in this regard.

With pgAdmin you can create a job backup and get the script it uses
