Hi Dan,

Could you tell me little bit more about your server setup ?
- Do you have hardware firewall ?
- Have you port-forwarding set up ?
- Is this company setup ?
- What type of service do you have from DynDns ?

DynDns is a service to keep your dynamic public IP address linked and updated to their website and your personal web link and it's all about settings, install of client on server, etc.

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell┬« is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

David,

when I goto https://mydomain.dyndns.net internally I get "error unable to access rd web" externally I get nothing.
when I created certificates it said untrusted - ok. I can access rd web when I use https://internal-ip/rdweb.

It will if you have set up your port forwarding example:

Public Port Range    7000-7000

Target IP Address     192.168.0.201

Target Port Range    80

Protocol    both    TCP/UDP

Depends on your router and ISP

Yes, but as I said it depends on your ISP what they allow you to do,

you can check it on http://www.portchecktool.com/

For example I have my Public IP with port 7000   targeting my private IP 192.168.0.201 port 3389   for remote desktop to my server

Also check port list https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/16164.which-ports-are-used-by-a-rds-2012-deployment.aspx

Also remember that if you want to access it from outside you have use different internet connection

If so I would suggest to have VNC or Teamviewer installed on your server for remote access
