File Explorer (Windows 10) opens and then crashes immediately
When I open File Explorer, it immediately closes down as if it has crashed followed by a restart of File Explorer. (The system tray is repopulated for instance.) I found a workaround here:

It works for me. However, it does only see a workaround. I am wondering if anyone could help to explain why there is a problem with Quick Access. For instance, if it had been caused by a virus, I definitely need to know that.
Thank you

Did sfc /scannow in a command window (as administrator). No integrity violations. Why restart and test again?
btan, that worked. Thank you.
