Salesforce - Charity Selling "Happy Holiday" greeting cards as a fundraiser

Hi,

I am working on Salesforce with a medical charity that raises funds in many ways.
One way is to sell packs of "Happy Holiday" greeting cards to some of it's 10,000 members.

So perhaps 1,000 members might buy a pack of "Happy Holiday" cards.

QUESTION: How do I record this sale in Salesforce?  Is it a donation OR an Activity OR a Campaign response.

Important: It would be useful if any subsequent fundraising activities appeared in the same section of Salesforce.  In other words , ideally it should be possible to see all fund raising activities without have to search multiple places.

Thanks Serena,
I actually already have the NPSP. (I should have mentioned this)
So I guess you are suggesting ...  (?correct?)

1. I create a campaign for all 10,000
2. I then make a donation against this campaign for every member that buys cards
3. I would also need a custom field to hold the number of packs of cards that the member made.

Do these above 3 points illustrate a good way to resolve the issue?
