Link to post behind image slider

I just applied a slider to my website and using images from my media library. How do I put a link in there so when visitors click on the image it takes them to the pertinent post?

It totally depends on the theme or plugin used to create the slider. Do you know if there's a slider plugin installed? If so, there  is usually a "XYZ Slider" type item added to the admin menu.
