iOS soft keyboard disabled by bluetooth HID device

we are connecting a Zebra RFD8500 (RFID reader) via bluetooth to iOS devices and the device is locking out the onscreen keyboard in Chrome and Safari.  anyone have a work around?  is there a thrid party keyboard app that would work with Safari while the 'standard" keyboard is locked out?

Zebra appears to have an app for iOS devices.

Give this a try to see if it has a setting that will prevent keyboard from being disabled, and let me know if you have any questions.

no luck yet. trying to get just a standard browser (Safari, Chrome) to work.  if you have a native app the keyboard isn't disabled.  have a conversation going with zebra - they are trying to come up with a workaround too
OK.  Keep us updated as we're curious what they tell you!
