Create Project in Planner or Project Web App O365 using C#


We have a large Lightswitch application for managing projects and we'd like to add the ability for the application to automatically create a project on O365, either on the Planner or Project Web App.

The idea is to create a new project using our current applciation, assign costs, resources etc.. and this in turn then creates a project on O365 using a default template, giving it a name and assigning a project reference as a custom field.

Any ideas if this is possible?
