I tried:
Here is the config I suggegst via Call Manager:
Directory Lookup
Name: Lookup_5555
Description: Global Help Desk X5555
Number Begins wtih: 5555
Number of Digits: 12
Total Digits to be removed: 4
Directory Number: 5555 160 8080

** My Cisco IP Phone Still Says "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" when I dial 5555. I normally would have to dial 1608080 to get the global help desk but want to only have to dial 5555.

You should be able to do a translation pattern for dialed digits 5555 with a called party transform mask of 1608080.
