Android 6.0.1 default calling application

I'm attempting to test 3cx Phone for android.  I had started testing it a year or more ago.  At that time, after installation to the phone, when tapping a dial link, say from contacts or embedded phone# in email, phone would prompt which application to use for dialing, 3cx or Phone (built in), at which point you could set a default dialer or select only once.

I'm back to testing and now on Android 6.0.1.  I can find no way to change the default dialer, clear the default dialer app etc or at get it to prompt which dialer to use.  It appears to be locked to the built in phone dialer.  I did uninstall and reinstall 3cx in case it wasn't recognizing it as a phone app, but did not make a difference.

Has this feature been locked down in the latest Android or is there a new way so that you can set 3rd party dialer or at least prompt which dialer to use?

Thanks,

Brian

No

The app has to be recongized as a phone app before it can be set as default dialer.

Hmm.  I wonder why it's not being recognized.  It was within the last year on previous android version.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

I guess since you all have no issues with other apps, i'll have to try 3cx forums.  Thank you for your help in at least indicating that it should work.
