QuickLinkManager and My Sites

My company recently migrated from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 and they made the decision to not migrate the My Site data. I have a broken WebPart that is using the QuickLinkManager object to create a link to a individuals My Site. Can QuickLinkManager write to something else beside My Site or does anyone have an idea for a workaround?

Thanks for the assistance

Where is the QuickLinkManager? I am not familiar with that terminology.

Thanks

It is an object used in Visual Studio and C# when building a SharePoint Custom WebPart or Workflow. It seems as though this existing solution is tied heavily to the My Site Content Database and since it was decided not to migrate it I have to figure a way around it (preferred method) or re-build the User Control that integrates Visual Studio to SharePoint.

I didn't get any responses, it is a non-issue now as my bass has decided to migrate My Site back in.
