You have to use the IP address of the machine for others to connect to your site.  'localhost' and '127.0.0.1' and '::1' are ONLY accessible on the machine they're on.  And every machine has it's own 'localhost'.

My laptop is a DHCP - so the ip is always changing. Can you please elaborate in more detail or perhaps provide a website which shows how to achieve this? Thanks

If you want others to access your web site, it is much better if you switch to a fixed IP.  I have set up all of my 14 computers here that have web sites with a fixed IP address so they can be found.  I don't use 'localhost' for anything if I can help it because many things like external access do not work when you use it.

You could use the 'hostname' of your computer and I have that setup also.  In either case, you will have to adapt your Wordpress installation because Wordpress include the 'server' in it's info in the database.

Which version of Windows are you running?  You have to go into the network properties on the adapter to set a fixed IP address.  Wordpress has a tutorial for moving a site which will be basically what you are doing except you don't need to copy any files, just make the changes to the database.
