Crystal Reports condense field in detail section when null without formula

Hello,

My boss does not want me to use formulas for this.  If I have a field in the details section can I remove it without a formula? I'm guessing not but if anyone has anything let me know.

Field is aligned like this and I cannot change how it is aligned:
Drug: Name
Drug: Name 2
Isprimary? Yes or NULL value

Is there any way to suppress the Isprimary? section without formulas and when it is suppressed the whole field moves up leaving just:
Drug: Name
Drug: Name 2
//NO SPACE HERE

I know access forms have a way of removing any space for blank space for null fields but I'm not sure if there is anything in CR that does not require a formula

Thanks for any help,

Mike

Hi Guys,

I was able to play around with this for a while and finally got the solution:

1.) Insert a new line in the text field by pressing enter at the end of the text field
2.) Drag and Drop the other data field into the text field
3.) Right Click Format Text and click "can grow" and click "suppress embedded field blank lines"

I was able to eventually figure this out myself but I hope it can help someone else.
