asked on SQL SERVER Error Message: the backend version is not supported to design database diagrams
Hi Experts,
Recently, I have downloaded (SQL SERVER DEVELOPER edition 2016) beside (SQL SERVER 2012 Express).
When I right click on any table inside (DEVELOPER edition 2016) to see it in design mode I got this message:
the backend version is not supported to design database diagrams

Yup, you cannot use this feature of SSMS 2016 with your SQL Server Express version.

I download it from the given link and when I tried to install it, it gives me this error:
SETUP FAILED
the file directory is corrupted and unreadable 80070570
I move the file to another location on external HDD but same issue still exists.

I installed everything on my instance and here is a snapshot of my features that are installed.Where is the SSMS here?
