sccm 2012 r2 sp1 upgrade error

hello, i have been receiving the scnotification.exe error on nearly all my images after upgrading to sccm r2 sp1. is there something i missed during or after upgrade? any resource sites, ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. thanks

Also receiving "scclient.exe" could not be started when I try to open software center under start -> ms system center -> configuration manager folder ...

suggested we just move .NET 4 components all together.  So I uninstalled them from Programs and Features, rebooted and no error.  I reinstalled .NET 4 and no error.  

and
we got similar issue in our environment and installing  KB982671 fixed the issue on our servers :-).
