is microsoft ending support for pst files?

I thought I saw somewhere -- but can't seem to find it again -- that Microsoft is ending support for pst files.  Where can i find details on this?

Great.  Thanks!

I should have been clearer in my question:  If I upgrade from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 and from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2016, will I still be able to "Open" old pst files in Outlook?

I don't need to deliver to a pst file, nor upload a pst file to Exchange.  I simply need to be able to give users access to the older psts, via Outlook, File, Open, "outlook data file" which then opens the pst in Outlook but in another folder.

Will that still work?

Thanks again for your quick response.
