I have a MAC with a mapped share that points to a Windows server 2008R and I'm having the following issues:

When trying to copy or save a file to the share I get error code -36. And when the user tries to open a PDF file from the share it gives the message they are not allowed. Word, Excel and picture files open fine.

Open Terminal.app
Run the dot_clean command

dot_clean /Volumes/Mounted_Windows_Share_Path

You could also just disable the invisible dot files on the network drive.  This will stop the Mac from writing all .DS files and it will remove the saved finder profile information.  I disable this on all the macs that connect to the same Windows share.  It prevents some, but not all, file locking issues on a Windows share when mulitple users connect to it.
defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores -bool true
