How to update outlook sent items with the mail sent externally using smtp?

I have code written in VB.Net which creates and sends mail using SMTP and I want this sent mail to appear in sent items of outlook.

Attached is the code I am using to send mail using SMTP.

you won't be able to do using system.net.mail but there is at least one workaround. check http://emoreau.com/Entries/Articles/2010/07/Sending-e-mails-with-attachments-a-different-method.aspx
