This question was solved in the class. My issue in this question is I know A U B means combine all elements in set A with set B. A intersection B means common values in set A and set B. A compliment means all the values in union set accept the one in set A. I need help as I am not familiar with those kind of formulas used in this questions.

A list of logic symbols with definitions and examples can be found at
http://www.rapidtables.com/math/symbols/Set_Symbols.htm

There may be minor difference from those used by your teacher
(I think their B^c is the same as your B')               (B^c is B superscript c)
but the site shoud help you and is a good refresher.
