Cisco 4500 - Supervisor cards and licensing

I'm building a parallel network for a migration, and I'm needing a like-for-like build for my two distribution switches (4506-E's with Sup 8-E's).  I have two spare 4506-E chassis that I'll use, but I don't have the SUP 8-E's, so I'll need to order two additional ones.

My questions:

Are the licenses (IP services vs LAN etc.) located on the supervisor cards?  If I had two SUP cards, SUP 7-E and SUP 8-E, and each had a different type of license level then whichever card that is installed in the chassis would run that particular license in respect to what's on the SUP card?

The spare chassis' have been used before, and I just wanted to know if there was an issue if I were to reuse the same chassis, but with new SUP 8-E's with new licenses.

Yes the license is relevant to the supervisor.
