Install EXCHANGE 2013 on NUTANIX nodes

Hi Experts,

I have to install 3 VMs with EXCHANGE 2013.
The VMs are running on NUTANIX Acropolis hypervisor.
What is the best setup for Exchange and how to setup the disks ?

Which part are you confused about?

Setup the VMs like you would setup any other VM, but be sure to also follow good Exchange practices by using multiple disks for Exchange, such as C for OS, D for Exchange Databases, E for Exchange logs. FWIW, I use several different drives for databases so I can keep the drive size reasonable. Nutanix also assigns a fixed amount of SSD per virtual disk, so you wouldn't want all of your IO hitting a single 5 TB virtual disk; it would be better to have five 1 TB disks, for example.

Ok I also have planned ...
..a disk for C
... a disk for DBs
... a disk for LOGs...

Do you have more Infos for seting up EXCH on AHV ?

You setup exchange on AHV the same as you would on any other hypervisor as far as I know. I had Exchange on Nutanix with Hyper-V.

My SMTP logs are also on a different drive from C.

How many databases, and how large will they be?

Do you have existing DAG that you will be joining? If so, you need to be sure that the disk gets presented is the same in terms of 512b or 4K sectors. That was an issue for me as newer versions of Hyper-V present disks in the 4K format by default.

I would also check Nutanix site for any other special recommendations.

Now I have an old EXCH2007 CLUSTER.
But the new one is with a DAG with 3 nodes.

I am not sure, if AD schema is correct and the domain and so on.
Can I do the schema update command in powershell again, to check it ?
