Can you close your account and delete the application on the desktop? That should do it.

WhatsApp's storage information should be cloud based, so if you login to your WhatsApp account and delete the information from your iPhone it shouldn't be accessible anymore from the Desktop.  https://www.whatsapp.com/faq/en/bb10/28020008

For example, if I have photos on my iPhone and I use iCloud, then I can delete photos from my iPhone and the iCloud.com area will  update...and vice versa.  But to make sure my photos are permanently deleted I would go to the Trash can and permanently delete them.

Deleting from the phone will delete from the cloud, but I also suggest (when you can, or get a trusted friend) that you also delete from the desktop.

Permanently deleting the chats on your iPhone should do the same for your Desktop, UNLESS you had the Desktop setup to retain chats separately from your iPhone.  (I'm not even sure if that's possible to have them separated.)

In most cases with the cloud storage, if you have all devices 'synced,' for lack of a better word, deleting content from one device should do the same for all devices.

Feel free to ask them as well.

I looked on my iPhone.

If you never setup iCloud to backup your chats, then any chats from iPhone would not be on your Desktop.  And vice versa.

However, If you used WhatsApp on your Desktop, and did not have iCloud setup, then those messages will still be on your Desktop.  As John stated, have someone you trust to delete those ones if you're concerned about them being on there.

Last, if you did set up iCloud for your iPhone and Desktop, then the chats can be deleted from your iPhone and they should be removed from your Desktop; you should be good.

Thanks for your help. I know for a fact that I never opened whatapp on the pc. However I know what app was obviously  synced to my phone and desktop. I don't know about I cloud as  I can't check now. But I'm sure they must have been deleted as the phone was synced to the pc. I hope so....

All messages were deketed from my phone and I'm sure the desktop is a mirror of the phone so I'm hoping they won't be there. Also as I never opened this app.  Thanks again
