yes you removed Vland 2 but still the vlan remains there in the dir of the Cisco Switch

type Dir and then check...

so you can add this ports to another Vlan and you'll see them.

or else remove vlan from the directory...

Niten KumarPrincipal Systems AdministratorCommented:
Those ports were in a vlan which got deleted.  What you can do is:

Switch(config)#interface fa4/0/1
Switch (config)#switchport access vlan 1

or any other vlan as per requirement.

If still things are not working out for you. Is it ok for you to do a total reset of the switch? If yes then do the following:

Switch#erase startup-config
Erasing the nvram filesystem will remove all files! Continue? [confirm]y[OK]
Erase of nvram: complete
Switch#
Switch# reload

System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: n

!--- Do not save the configuration at this prompt. Otherwise, the switch !--- reloads with the current running configuration and does not reset to default.
Proceed with reload? [confirm]y

After switch reloads you have to remove all vlan data using the following steps:

Switch# delete flash:vlan.dat
Delete filename [vlan.dat]?

!--- Press Enter.

Delete flash:vlan.dat? [confirm]y

Switch# reload
Proceed with reload? [confirm]y
4w5d: %SYS-5-RELOAD: Reload requested

After reload all should be good if there are no hardware issues.
