Hi Guys,

We currently run our backups through Dell AppAssure (shit) and we want to move back to using Shadowprotect, however we have a Dell EqualLogic now running which was in sync with appassure and we want to know if its possible to setup shadowprotect to backup to the equallogic

Any help or advice would be great

Thanks

As long as you can use it as storage (I mean access it as storage under Windows) - yes, Shadow Protect will work with it.

Yes  but does that mean the EqualLogic would need to have an OS on it other than the limited GUI it has now ?

Shadow Protect does not know what OS is running on the other side. It simply puts the data into the storage provided by Windows API.
So, if you create an iSCSI object which allows read/write operations for your user then SProtect will work with it ok.
