Hello,

I have setup a Database Mail within SQL Server Studio Manager 2014.
I can successful send a test email.

When I go to the SQL Server Agent > Alert Systems > My Mail Profile is not available in the dropdown list

When anyone know why?
Does at least 1 email account need to be present on the Server?

Please see attached screen shot for example.

You need a From email to send the email to the person. In most cases we create a system email account to sending out alerts and information messages. So you may need to configure one with the help of IT team

You can either specify Database Mail or SQL Mail from the Mail system list. If you go with SQL Mail then you need to select a profile in the Mail profile box. If no profiles are listed then you need to enter the name of the profile that the system can use for sending out the email.
