Morning Experts,

I have a requirement to create a CCTV installation
The project consists of two remote locations and one central server room (see attached).
At each site will be a PoE swtich to power the cameras.  The issue is that the distance from the remote sites to the server room is 200 meters.

I am thinking of installing Ethernet to Fibre media convertors at either end of the swithces for the distance. Can anyone recommend what media converts to use and what type of fibre cable to use, any other suggestions for the above requirements would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

One alternative may be to use a PoE ethernet extender at the 100m point. You already have PoE switches at your remote sites, so they could provide the power for it. Maybe something like this: http://www.veracityglobal.com/products/ethernet-and-poe-devices/outreach-lite.aspx
