Hi

A client was working till late last night on an Excel file and saved it on her external USB disk drive
Before switching the notebook off she renamed the folder in which this file was stored and copied a few files into the folder.

This morning she started her computer and discovered that her file was missing and the files she had copied into the same folder had also disappeared - maybe the computer hadn't finished emptying its cache ?

I ran Recuva to attempt a recovery of the files but found nothing of any use. A deep scan is currently running.

Her Excel is configured to save her file every ten minutes in C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\
But unfortunately this folder is empty

Any chance we can recover the file she was working on last night ?

thanks
yann

If still no go, right click the temp folder and select Previous versions tab and find whether there is any file useful.
