Runco Projector

So our old VX2c Runco projector Died,  I'm trying to replace it and i see many of them on ebay that don't have the same lumens as mine which 2000, all the models i see are actually lower and some even have 700 lumens but are LED's, i am trying to find information on why are all the newer models lower in lumens, this if anyone has any.

probably because of better light sources and lenses, to compensate for the lower lumens
