Hi
I have recently setup an exchange 2013 multi tenant server and all the users are in correct OU, they can only see the people and groups in that OU
Distribution groups all work however we have 1 issue

If a user within OWA selects the group and tries to see who is in the group it is blank (ie- shows no members) !!!

There are members and if that user sends an email it goes to people

Anyone out these seen this before ...

Outlook is fine - this only happens within OWA

I wonder did that segregated address list kicks in

check on the user you login for their AddressBookPolicy

and see what is in there.
do you use OU based segregation?

When I create a mailbox I use this:

Command 1-
New-Mailbox -Name 'Bob Smith' -Alias 'bob.smith' -OrganizationalUnit 'testco.co.uk/ExchangeTenants/testco1' -UserPrincipalName 'bob.smith@tesstco1.co.uk' -SamAccountName 'bob.smith' -FirstName 'Bob' -LastName 'Smith' -AddressBookPolicy 'Testco1'

Command 2-
Set-Mailbox bob.smith@testco1.co.uk -CustomAttribute1 "Testco1"

TO create a distribution group I used the command:

Command 1-
New-DistributionGroup -Name 'Testco test1' -OrganizationalUnit 'testco.co.uk/ExchangeTenants/testco1'

Command 2-
Set-DistributionGroup -Identity 'Testco Test1' -CustomAttribute1 Testco1

This creates the dist group and only members of the OU can see it ... which is great but when you use OWA to see who is in a member of the group .. .nothing
But using Outlook as a client .. you can see the members !!

Hi

Eventually called Microsoft and the issue was relating "IncludedRecipients           : MailboxUser" and it should have read "IncludedRecipients           : AllRecipients"

As per below:

[PS] C:\>Get-GlobalAddressList *avon* | fl

Then to clean up ran:

Get-GlobalAddressList *avon* | Update-GlobalAddressList
Get-AddressList *avon* | Update-AddressList
Restart MailboxAssistant

And all good

Thanks to all those that helped
