I'm assuming that his phone is running Blackberry OS and it's not one of the phones running Android.

Blackberry OS is generally considered to be a secure operating system and will require you to grant access permissions to any app you download. I believe there are some anti viral applications on the Blackberry store, or at least there were, so if your boss is quite adamant about it I'd throw one of those on the unit. It may not accomplish anything other than making him feel better but there is no sense arguing about it if he is insistent.

Ah ok, if he is on Android I would definitely install something, incidents of viruses are still a lot lower on Android than on PC, for example, but the OS is definitely susceptible to malware. There are lots of options from most of the big PC anti virus companies.

I'm pretty partial to Avast Mobile Security, I've been using it on my Android devices for a few years and not had any issues.
