Hello EE,

I have an issue whereby my cloud provider created some http monitors , so each client site will have a production.html page if it is renamed to offline.html , the f5 lb will redirect to the other web server node in the pool. This work son initial setup.

The issue is when I rename the monitor to offline.html to initiate the redirect to the other ip, I get a "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS" on the new server using the production.html . I tried restarting the pool and also restarting the IIS service , but same issue . I can confirm the site does return locally . The SSL has been offloaded to the cloud provider , dcan you please provide some insight and resolution on this one please.

This is 2012 server IIS8.5

You mean, you rename the file, not the monitor, right?

Where are you seeing these errors... in a browser, the f5 logs, the iis site logs?

Does your site use an SSL cert?

Can you post the html of your production.html file?  are there any meta tags in the file?

HI Dan,

This was a misplaced redirect hardcoded in the vb code for the site, it has been removed and works fine
