hello,

We are migrating our internally hosted CMS to SP hosted on the O365. In order to prevent any broken links available in the thousands of documents how can we manage that the Old links when clicked can be redirected to the new links on the o365 hosted SP CMS.

Many Thanks
A

Place this rule in your DOCUMENT_ROOT/.htaccess file of domain.com:

RewriteEngine On

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?:www\.)domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://newdomain.com%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

Or if using web.config

<rule name="Redirect to new domain" stopProcessing="true">
      <match url="^(.*)$" />
      <conditions>
        <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" matchType="Pattern" pattern="^olddomain(:\d+)?$" />
      </conditions>
      <action type="Redirect" url="https://my.newdomain.io/{R:1}" redirectType="Permanent" />
    </rule>
