How to remove audio ad

On one specific website ( https://wattsupwiththat.com/ ) I am plagued by an audio ad and if I wait long enough an ad page pops up as well. I have run Windows Defender as well as AntiMalwarebytes (up to date)  several times, but apparently to no avail. When I Google for solutions I get several sites that I do not know to trust.
Any recommendations?

Ads are a way for the provider to generate revenue. Sometimes, an Ad-blocker like Ad-Block Plus will suppress the ad (in firefox select add-ons, then search for AdBlock plus). If that doesn't help, often those sites require you to subscribe to their site by paying a member fee or something like that to be able to visit the site Ad-Free, so check that site whether there is such an option.

If none of the above helps, you will have to live with the ad if you want to use that site.

I have installed the AdblockPlus and it seems to work. So thanks very much. What I do not understand though is why the big antimalware apps dont have this.

Web-site Ads aren't considered as malware, they are a legitimate way for the web-sites to create revenue. Besides, the ads are on the web-site, not the PC. Antimalware tools don't scan the web-sites, but rather your PC.
