Query Builder end user tool for SQL Server

Hi Experts,

We are looking for a query builder tool for end users which can dynamically create parameters, export to excel, adhoc report capability. Please suggest if there are any. Has  any one used IZenda? can it do?

The article Microsoft Excel & SQL Server:  Self service BI to give users the data they want can be used to allow experts to create known reports by selecting pre-selected parameter values and executing a known Stored Procedure.

As far as Ad-Hoc abilities, follow the article to see how users can select their own SQL Object, and then you can always Filter By Form to handle 'parameters'.

All of this ass-u-me's that the DBA's in your company are okay with all users having all permissions on your SQL database, which I've rarely ever seen.

Aside from the above, Microsoft Power Query for Excel is worth looking into.
