Does the OneDrive apps download all the data saved in the cloud
Hi,
We use OneDrive but from the cloud, that is onedrive.com. We found an apps in Windows 10 Pro that is the software installed in Windows for OneDrive.
Questions,
If we log into the apps in Windows, will it download all our stuff from cloud?
Would it change our login/signin in Windows 10? (we use a local account and when we first used Windows 8 and activated OneDrive, it changed our account to our email-related account to OneDrive... we don't want that)
Please advice.

Depends upon the version of onedrive, you can now select to sync only certain folders.

We have Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Update version 1607
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
OS Version: 10.0.14393 N/A Build 14393
That said, we tried to get the actual version of OneDrive but found that there is a OnDerive in the Store, that is not installed, and another version of OneDrive installed in our PC (see pix below):
Now we are bit more confuse.
In our Windows 8 and Windows 10 versions (prior anniversary update), we didnt use OneDrive because it needed an email then it would change our user login to that email; hence, mess up all our folder that was setup under our user local account. So we always used OneDrive via web.
We are afraid that if we login to one of these onedrive apps that will happen.
That said,
What is the difference bnetween the 2 OneDrive?
if we log in any of these OneDrive, would it change our login/signin in Windows 10?
