Safe mode for outlook

I have client that update is to El Captinton and now her outlook will not open is there a safe mode for the Mac os?

Never needed it so I'm not sure.  If you're using 2016, then you can try adding a new profile and seeing if that kicks it open. Don't delete the old profile...

You can do the same for 2011 as well.
