virtual machine advice

looking to install some 3rd party web scraping applications and run them on a virtual machine .what is the best provider?

my main priority is having a windows like experience in the virtual environment where i can move a mouse around, install application, manipulate and download files in explorer.

host on cloud.

So a Windows or Linux Desktop ?

AWS is expensive as to is Microsoft.  For sure they are very reliable but if you're prepared to foot the cost.

Depending on your location, there is always local and reputable hosting providers for this.  Maybe ask around some of the local IT stores to find one?

Web scraping within Windows usually only needs a small VM so, 2x vCPU, 4x RAM and some disk.  You'll need a WIndows license, Antivirus, internet plan - so maybe $200-300 p/m?  If you wish to move the VM from provider-to-provider thats no problem usually.
