Is it possible to use an OR condition in excel averageifs?  If so, can someone please demonstrate an example for me?

Not with AVERAGEIFS, but you can Array enter an AVERAGE function to provide an OR test...

=AVERAGE(IF((A1:A20="data2")+(A1:A20="data4"), B1:B20))

Thank you very much.  Is there a non array formula that can be used?  Otherwise it worked for me.
