Can a Cisco 3702e be configured for wireless G only?

I have a need to install a Cisco 3702G wireless access point to support G only. Can this be done?

Yes.

You can configure the AP to use only specific radio/data-rates, either by using a WLC or with autonomous code.

You can do it a few ways.

Assuming you don't have a WLC, install autonomous code on the AP, then disable dot11Radio1 by shutting it down, and disable the 802.11b/n data-rates, like this...

 shutdown

 speed basic-6.0
 no speed basic-1.0 basic-2.0 basic-5.5 basic-11.0
