I've already duplicated the target db, using rman duplicate ... from active database

and standby is mounted and looks good, now I need to add my other 2 instances and change the cluster_database parameter too

kind of lost in the steps ... please assist/guide here.

Thanks in advance.

Platform, DB version number, total number of hot instances, and what had you tried? IOW what resource or instruction set were you following? I ask that because part of the solution may be in identifying what worked before you got lost.

thanks David ... much appreciated :)

I was able to fix it myself, but for the info: Oracle: 12.1.0.2 - RH 7.2 - 3 nodes RAC cluster

My cloning was done ok, but totally forgot how to enable cluster_database and add my other 2 nodes to it too.

Corrected myself ... after searching and looking around.

Thanks again.

Nicely done. When I ask someone what they've already tried, oh say my teenager as an example, then "how to diagnose a problem" gets reinforced. And when that person goes back and discovers their oversight, as you did, you've got the satisfaction of success.

Please remember to award yourself the points and to close this ticket.
