I have a client who has an email setup as Imap

When she attempts to send an email she always gets the attached message

telling her the Provider does not support it.

What could be causing this?

How is her outgoing set up? Is her SMTP using SSL/TLS or just set up plaintext?

Usually I would suspect that her service provider is not liking something about her outgoing settings, so I would usually incrementally check these settings. So try TLS and SSL on the different ports, then check the authentication setting for outgoing and see if that helps.

If all these settings are correct you can also try running a repair on Office 2016 by going to control panel > add/remove programs > select Office then click change> Then choose quick or online repair. The online one essentially reinstalls office entirely so it may take some time depending on her connection speed, the quick repair is quite fast but doesn't fix all issues.

Thanks Tyler

Even when the documentation says Port 25 and auto on the Security

I changed it to 465  and SSL on the security and it now works

Thanks
