Can't setup new profile in Outlook 2016 & Exchange 2010 offsite
I am trying to create new profile in Outlook 2016 while I am off site.
When I enter the email xxx@domain.com the process comes back requesting a password. to get past this stage I need to change user and enter domain\xxx At this stage it finds the server and logs in OK (green checkmark) but when it goes to the third (and last) stage it comes back with an error message: ' This action cannot be completed. The name cannot be matched to a name in address list'
I have run the MS remote connectivity test bot for active sync & outlook anywhere as well as Outlook connectivity. Both came back OK with a warning about resolving the certificate to the top lever.

That was the problem.

If you absolutely must set it up now, downgrade to 2013 and manually set it up.
