Sharepoint 3.0 keeps dropping and new sharepoint site is not coming up in home page.

Hi,
My colleague has configured new SharePoint site 2013, to replace the old one which was SharePoint 3.0, he has put the DNS entry for new SharePoint site, but on home page its not viewable.
The old share point site can only be accessed when I restart the server on which it was hosted, and it keeps dropping down after 1 or 2 hours.
So how can I make the new sharepoint site to appear on home page?
How I can fix the issue with old sharepoint site which keeps on dropping? ( Staff need to still access it to review and migrate there content)

There seems to be a few different issues here.

New SharePoint, DNS entry for SharePoint, home page is not viewable
Do the old and the new have the same url? What do you mean not viewable? Does the page throw an error? What does it do?

The old SharePoint site can only be accesses when I restart the server
Does it have a different url than the new SharePoint site? What do you mean by accesses? It accepts credentials, does not accept credentials? The pages don't render? What exactly do you mean?

How can I make the new SharePoint site to appear on home page?
What does this mean? Is the homepage not SharePoint?

How can I fix the issue with old SharePoint site
Does it power down on it's own? Does it go off line? Does it lose network connectivity? Does the disk fill up and nothing works? Does it ask for something to eat and stops working until it get something? Please explain.

Thanks

Both of them have different URL, by not viewable means its a blank white page, and it shows a general error to check your network connections.

The old SharePoint site can only be accesses when I restart the server

What it means is that when new sharepoint site is set as the main intranet site, old sharepoint site goes offline, offline means its not accessible from its link, the only way I can bring it online is to restart the server where old sharepoint site is hosted, but it only comes online for approximately one hour.

Does it power down on it's own? Does it go off line? Does it lose network connectivity? Does the disk fill up and nothing works? Does it ask for something to eat and stops working until it get something?

Old sharepoint site goes offline when new sharepoint becomes the active intranet site, nothing is wrong on the hardware side, but on application side in event viewer, this is getting logged on old sharepoint site;

Error starting remoting services: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

On New SharePoint Server;

The SharePoint Health Analyzer detected a condition requiring your attention.  Drives are at risk of running out of free space.
Available drive space is less than five times the value of physical memory. This is dangerous because it does not provide enough room for a full memory dump with continued operation. It also could cause problems with the Virtual Memory swap file:  (Server - C:\).

SQL Database 'WSS_Content_Intranet' on SQL Server instance 'SQL01' not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.

Cannot open database "WSS_Content_MyOneTeam" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'Domain\svc_sp_webapp'.

I will work through resolving Event Viewer logs, If you have any suggestions let me know.

thanks.
