Two different Domain and two different Exchange server how to sync for global address book list

Hi,
I have two exchange servers for 2 different companies on different domains.  One is win 2008 r2/ exchange 2010, the other is win 2012r2 / exchange server 2016.  I want to combine or sync the global address book  into one. Is this possible and how do i combine them.

I hear it can be done with Microsoft FIM but that is a costly and complex endeavor.
